Lives and works in Benin.
Vanessa Moulin Walker is of multicultural background:
half British, half French, she grew up on a small Pacific island.
She has lived and worked in Australia for more than 10 years
and has spent the last 18 years on the African continent.
She graduated from the Sydney Design Institute
(Event and Entertainment Design) and has worked as
a set designer for various shows, as well as a freelance
graphic designer in Australia, France and Congo, designing
in performing arts, advertising as well as corporate.
In 2012, she undertook a personal project, a series of portraits
of women using photography and Acrylic paint.
From then on, she created different series, finding a certain
beauty in forgotten corners of urban scapes.
From one collection to the next, the approach is different,
the technique is different. She uses photography, acrylic paint,
stencil prints, silk printing, collage.
